RE QF and the 777, yes a missed opportunity, but lets remember they ordered another very capable Boeing twin, the 787, which Qantas should have had years ago, that was capable of, unlike the 777, of doing two roles for Qantas, long haul and Regional flights for International, and replace the 767s and 330s on domestic wide body flights.777 is too big for 1hr domestic runs!
No doubt the 777 is a great aircraft, and great to fly as a pilot, but to fly on as a passenger, give me a 787 or 380 any day!!!
