Clipped: i remember seeing that and thinking that they only made one obvious dud fleet choice (777s). But they made several wrong choices about the airline they were being overpaid to manage. They chose to (mis)manage Jetstar rather than guide QF into the future.
In any event they have had around 4000 days to reconsider the 777...every day that goes by with no action is both a stinging indictment of their ineptitude and another lost delivery slot. All of the other fluff they do; the lounges, FF, valet parking, Olivia, Neil Perry, ad infinitum...all of that is masturbatory when the basic Airline 101 stuff is screwed up. Fleet choices, route frequency...those two, and many more, basics have eluded our collection of auto-crankers.
