The DC10 suffered 12 fatal crashes.
The B747 suffered 27 fatal crashes.
The Tristar suffered 3 fatal crashes.
The VC10 suffered 2 fatal crashes.
The B757 suffered 5 fatal crashes.
I'll also add the A321 stats (the closest competitor to the B757) - it has had only 1 fatal crash.
The A330/A340 family have had only 3 fatal accidents.
Now which aircraft type would you chose to fly...?
