Oh, The GE engine uses 5% less fuel than the RR - that probably swayed it.
Seems a helluva lot if true? If those figures were guaranteed before delivery, then ALL B787s would be GE.
Even a big Foxtrot Oscar discount would be eaten up in fuel costs over time. Happy to be corrected though....
