Pls. read again, only the RT ground exam, one of 9 needs to be passed. The RT(FRTOL) practical can be taken at a later date.
However FE handbook (2014) page 16 4.3.3 states: "The examiner should also check.... FRTOL...Course completion certificate ..etc.
Re SRG 1105 , the "course" is completed when HoT signs the form re. hours flown and logbook checked, and the ground examiner signs off the 9 ground exams. I have always understood that the skill test can take place without the RT practical which can be taken later, the SRG1105 application made when both are passed.
Also as a "PS" under EASA, the test now has to take place at the course completion, ie a minima of 45hrs.(CAP 804)
