Some years ago after eldest daughter had finished her first degree,she decided on a further horticultural qualification which included some instruction on small engines.Irecall her asking me one day what the Otto cycle meant an I told her it related to four-stroke petrol engines, as in "Induction,Compression,Ignition, Exhaust", or as I recall one instruct:or telling me;"Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Fart."
