I was amazed when I looked in Sabre that American Eagle operates a 508 mile segment with an ATR-42 from San Juan to Canouan Island (CIW).

I've been a pax on an AA Eagle ATR from SJU to Tobago, which I measure to be 615 sm great circle.
I'd heard that they used GPS navigation on this run to avoid having to follow the island chain, a considerably longer route.
Eagle keeps its weight down in the Caribbean by not carrying life (flotation) vests.
