Racetrack VS Hold
in spite of being a close friend of DOC 8168, I can't seem to grasp an understanding of the difference between a racetrack and a holding pattern, same procedure design, different speed limits (propeller, jet).
I am asked to join a hold on a final approach fix, does that hold become a racetrack once I'm cleared to descend and approach?
or what are the implications.
