BZ wasn't involved in the day-to-day work of certification from the Airbus end, that was headed by Gordon Corps - and as I said, I think he'd have been happy to take suggestions on board. Remember that he was a senior test pilot for the ARB - and successor to D.P. Davies as chief - before Airbus poached him.
