Yes, I do have a UK CAA ATPL - have had it for 10 years but it EXPIRED in June 2001. I was wondering if that would make any difference?
I do know that if you have a jet type rating on any ICAO licence & you have not flown the type in a 5 year period, you gotta do a full type rating course to be legal. As for the basic licence, that I don't know. In the USA, the ATP(L) is valid for life - there are no 10 year validity periods on the licence per se. It is currency that is important ie. IFR & 3 takeoffs and landings in a 90-day concurrent period.
