What 'Chimbu' said pretty much somes it all up. Dollars & lots of them, something that is in short supply for life saving drugs never lone old flying machines.
In 50 yrs time I doubt we will have anyone around to maintain these old relics or even a supply of the fuel needed, remember in 50 yrs this will be a very different word indeed.
The youth of the day & even today's youth will be far more interested in other things in 50 years time, planes will be just a mode of transport (if they are indeed still flying!) & any notion of them being enjoyable outside of their primary use would have long since passed.

Static displays are about the best we can expect I'd say long term.
