Party - I've no inside info but as we've not yet seen how SDSR15 will balance the books for these costs, "there may be trouble ahead" to quote the song! I'm guessing aircraft types with diminishing years of service remaining and no current role may be looked at closely in a 'cost vs benefit' way?
Having an offer to extend / being on a 'contract' to 55 / 60 doesn't mean you won't be made redundant if the bean-counters say so. Recent experience directly proves this.
