As long as it's a single-engine and doesn't have complexities like a variable-pitch prop, it shouldn't cause you any trouble
Even a variable pitch prop doesn't necessarily rule out an airplane for
ab initio training; at least, the
DA20-A1 has one, and it doesn't seem to pose much of a problem for most students (although personally I'm not a fan of the aircraft).
