Is it really a gamble !upgrading to captain position in thy ?
The gamble is not so much in the upgrade training to Captain but more, will THY change their upgrade requirements opening it up to foreigners ? Or at least honour their recruitment spiel to those foreigners joining the company as co-pilots. ( and narrow body Captains)
I have no idea as to the likelihood of any of these any of these possibilities
