It's a single ticket so I should be fine. There's a later flight from FRA to Florence which I am sure the would put me on. It happened to me years ago going through Frankfurt with LH when they had a delay from Dublin and they put me on the next flight so I can't see this being any different were it to happen. It's also giving me the option to rebook but that ironically would mean a 4-5 hour layover as opposed to 45 minutes, a bit too long!!
The only issue if I miss the connection is that with the later flight I wouldn't get there till 10 p.m. as opposed to 6 p.m. so you lose the evening.
Anyway, just curious. Will have to decide what to do. I'm actually going through FRA to SLZ with LH this Monday and I have a couple of hours so I might time myself and see how long it takes to get through passport control and to the usual gate the plane to FLR departs from.
