Uncopilot, that is what I do to switch between iPads. Sorry, I missed the full sense of the question.
However, when caught out the other day, the iPhone did provide a useful backup, but clearly demonstrated the limitation at 155kt!
We did a couple of long sectors earlier this year running the two programs simultaneously (VFR). The seamless maps on the Avplan worked well!
