finally had enough of cartridges with chips saying "empty" when you could see 30% full,,,then finding new cartridge wouldn't perform due head clogging....made a flusher to pump Meth through and could observe flow through all nozzles,with a magnifying glass.....2 pages later clogging again.
bought secondhand l@ser all in one (OKI colour) off the bay, 3 spare, sealed cartridges and a full set installed...complete with original box, leads and manual
£25! -well, 23 but I was too embarrassed to accept the change.
A small cheat with a 50p micro-fuse reset the black image roller's life. Black toner ran out, rechipped the cartridge and got another hundred or so pages, eventually used one of the "free" spares.
Great for copying, great for printing. far superior and quicker than inkjet and no head clogging.
Plenty about, especially the more popular brands and plenty of cheap toners...options are genuine, usually where an office is clearing due to re-equipping, recycled-often same reason, or you can buy toner and chip kits to refill your own!
It's perfectly easy to buy a machine, use the consumables and then dispose of it, at ~a penny a copy. I have a spare HP 3550 colour which came free (office clearout!) -all consumables except black are over 75% cartridge on the Bay, £10 delivered that'll give me another 4,000 copies before the yellow might run out!
You do the maths!...inkjet? DUSTBIN!
