It was an inherited issue. And took time to prove to the boss and beat down the admin opposition of not having a printer on their personal desk.
I have held your policy for over 15 years when they first came out.
Even at home they are uneconomic as well. Slow expensive and poor quality most of the time.
MOno black laser printer 70 quid with duplex printing and 10 PPM, toner cartridge 5 quid. 3500 pages
Injet single sided only 5 PPM if your lucky and 20 quid for a ink packs. lucky if you get 500 out of them with domestic use.
Colour laser about 125 quid again duplex 10ppm, toner 40 quid for 3500 pages.
And if you turn off the laser and don't use it for a month it will turn on and work without having to go to the ball ache of unclogging jets and the like and more than likely buying a new ink pack.
