I gave up on all-in-one printers. Inevitably, one part fails and you have to replace the lot.

I have a very good, very small Canon scanner that works well, with supplied software for scanning, copying, OCR, and fax (how quaint!). I have a good colour printer that works flawlessly over my wireless network. It's the only option I'd consider, now.
