Looking at webtrak. the original question seems to have been about Kenya Airways flight KQ102 from Nairobi.

It appears to me that it was landing during the routine TEAM period between 0600 and 0700 when landings occur on both runways and looking at the flight track I surmise that it should have lined up for 27L but actually slotted in between two planes going for 27R.

Over Barnes, it turned left (to try to find the 27L approach ?) but perhaps it was too late to join and crossed the glidepath and did a big loop starting to pick up height as it flew over the Star and Garter gate of Richmond Park (1900 ft) to Teddington Lock (2300) back over the Thames to Surbiton (3200) and Worcester Park (3900). The loop continued to join the normal arrival stream at Beckenham, Dulwich and it turned onto the 27L glidepath above Clapham and continued on to a normal landing over Richmond.
