The hypocrisy of the head of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran Alireza Jahangirian is shameful and an embarrassment to the nation of Iran.
On the one hand he is blaming "aircraft of over 20 years of age" for the poor safety record of Iran's airlines, yet at the same time HIS OWN ORGANIZATION HAS SYSTEMATICALLY AVOIDED NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE MAINTENANCE OF THEIR OWN AIRCRAFT RESULTING THE THE RECENT FATAL CRASH OF THEIR FALCON 20 FLIGHT CALIBRATION AIRCRAFT, CAUSING THE DEATHS OF 4 CREW MEMBERS:

As the national aviation regulator, the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has a mandatory obligation according to ICAO regulations, to perform and announce the findings of air accident investigations.
Why then has Alireza Jahangirian remained arrogantly silent and failed to ensure that the CAO properly investigates the cause of the fatal crash of their Falcon 20 aircraft in March this year?
Why has the CAO tried to sweep the air accident investigation of Iran Air Flight 277 under the carpet?

Surely the Iranian government and people have a right to know. What is Alireza Jahangirian's explanation about this?
It is rumored that Jahangirian's organization VASTLY OVERPAID for a second hand Falcon 2000EX (EP-FSC) to be used for Flight Calibration. So the question Jahangirian should answer to the families of the killed crew members and the Iranian nation, is why did he continue to approve the flights of a 40 year old Falcon 20 that was long overdue a complete overhaul and not use the Falcon 2000EX that his organization spent so much money on:

As a result of the fatal crash of the CAO's Falcon 20 (EP-FIC) Jahangiran has lost Iran's self-sufficiency capability for performing flight calibration checks. As a result of this, it is rumored that CAO head Jahangirian has gone begging the Pakistan CAA to rent their flight check equipped King Air 200's.
It wouldn't normally be an issue to rent such civil aviation services such as flight checks from a foreign company or country, however in the case of the Pakistan CAA, the difference is that they are controlled by the Ministry of Defense of Pakistan and are therefore by definition a military organization.
The fact that Alireza Jahangirian has gone begging Pakistan to send their military aircraft to scan Iran's airports defies belief.
If it turns out that Jahangirian has INVITED and PAID for foreign military aircraft to scan all of Iran's airports he will have an awful lot of explaining to do. As his organization has a history of vastly overpaying for items it procures, let's hope for Jahangirian's sake that at least he got a good hourly rental price from Pakistan.
