I think you're outnumbered. I'm with clunckdriver on this one. There is a difference between language evolving and writing useless, redundant nonsense.

The whole point of language is to communicate. Concise, clear language leads to concise, clear communication which is usually important, particularly in aviation.

You could have removed 'going forward' without changing the meaning of your sentence one iota. Starting the next sentence with 'Or' is a completely different issue, which I won't go into now. At least you didn't 'boldly go'!

Unfortunately, this is not a new problem. Years ago, I heard a piece on As It Happens, where Barbara Frum was interviewing a UBC English professor, who was bemoaning the fact that they had to provide remedial English lessons to first-year students. He described a student's essay which contained a sentence that had no verb in it!
