More Airbus NBs for AC ?
I saw over in Airliners.net a suggestion that, as the E190s start to leave late this year/early next, that AC will lease for 3-5 years 5 A320ceo and 8 A321ceo. These would remain in place until the 737s start to arrive. Suggestion was made by a fellow who I believe is a 767 driver for AC, so I would give it some credence.
I believe as part of the 737 deal, Boeing agreed to take as trade-in and remarket 25 of the 45 E190s.
Still don't like it as a passenger, 320 family is more comfortable. But from a biz case p.o.v., the E190 trade-in reduces cash cost somewhat, and for the MAX, the cockpit layout and symbology is identical to the 777/787, making pilot cross-training that much easier, which is also a cost reducer.
