Yes, it is encouraging that Ryanair now seem to look at the bigger picture, rather than throwing their toys out of their pram. They seem chastened by easyJet's apparent success in more closely meeting their customers' interests.
Perhaps there is indeed some evidence that passengers take other factors into account beyond simply the price. If so, I don't think that augurs well for the future of Ryanair's operation at PIK, if there is increasing competition from GLA and EDI under rejuvenated management.
