Just look at the charts. If they haven't been changed since the new database came out then there's no problem, use the old database. i.e. the new database comes out tomorrow 26June. Check all your charts, if none of them are dated 26 JUN 14 or EFF 26 JUN then you are fine using the old database for SID/STARS/APPROACHES (Although not technically legal, the coding in the FMS will still be correct). If you've at least cross checked all the way points and airways and they all match up with the flight plan then your fine.

Far worse to change database and then have to rebuild the entire flight plan from scratch while in flight.
