This salary adjustment was feeble to say the least!
Flying the
TARGET 92 hours, a Captain now earns a whopping AED644 more per month and a FO a mind blowing extra AED 460 per month. Of course when you are leave - it's COST NEUTRAL to the company!
If you have 3 kids in high school, you "stand to benefit" an extra AED1,750 per month (not really schools fees are an excuse to print money in the UAE) - if you don't have kids, sorry - you gain ZERO. So, everyone in same boat here.
If you live out and own your own villa you "gain" an extra AED1,125 per month (not really had a look at property prices, bank interest rates and DEWA lately), if you live in company accommodation you gain ZERO and if you RENT anything larger than a shoebox in Karama, then you're (most likely) still OUT OF POCKET. So, everyone in same boat here too.
Bottom line, expect nothing, give nothing.
