Passengers are entitled to have a safe no drama flight and not be an unwilling captive audience to some newbie in the RH seat trying his luck without interference from the captain, at 30 knots or more across the runway. If the sim fidelity is doubtful for crosswind landings at AFM limits then the regulator should demand first officer crosswind training be conducted in the real aircraft with no passengers or cabin crew aboard.
