They send the Westpac chopper out on an SAR mission, on the basis of
one unconfirmed visual sighting? - from a solitary person who said he
thought he saw a plane go down?
Yet there's no plane reported missing or overdue in the area, and no EPIRB signal? What am I missing here??
If I called in something along those lines, I would be grilled to death by the police before any other enquiries were made - and no-one would move on any SAR operation, until confirming information or evidence became available.
