Yes BN suggestion would be difficult to pull off , but one or 2 crew going out for lack of sleep on a regular basis would very quickly see a change .
I for one will no longer bother with crew control , phone the duty ops manager instead (best done at 3am HK time ) explain that you are unable to sleep due to substandard hotel accommodations and therefore won't be available to take the flight
