A pity that the LHR 5th rotation will be stopped from the end of Sep, primarily due to operational reasons and it has been noted there was a slight dip in yields when the 5th service commenced - So its more likely EI will evaluate placing the A321 back on the 4 daily services.
Just wanted to share some stats re: the FR, KRK/WMI services which have both since been axed.
In Feb 14 - FR had a total of 3,024 seats for sale on the route in both directions.
They sold 2,750 seats - Meaning the LF for the ORK-KRK-ORK service was 91%, and it was high yielding (know that from what FR was telling the CAA at meetings). Will be waiting eagerly to see the CSO stats for Apr/May in SNN to compare - But from my own sources its doing much worse than what it was making for FR at ORK.
In Feb 14 - FR had a total of 4,536 seats on sale for the ORK-WMI-ORK route (both directions).
They sold 3,239 seats - The LF was 71% and it was high yielding as explained above.
A pity both routes were axed to make a point and not because of macroeconomics.
