Nowt dodgy about it, Joe. I have a dear friend who lives in Leith, and thanks to him, I know a number of even more "colourful" Edinburgh "jibes", but this really isn't the time or place.
So, you seem to be saying that the BAA decides that new long-haul services go to Glasgow and new European services go to Edinburgh? Is that their stated policy or is it just your interpretation of events?
If that
is the case then it might well be that my original thoughts are correct - that the catchment area of neither airport on it's own will support scheduled long-haul flights, but the combined catchment will.
"Branches"? Don't know about them, but there's loads of trees round MAN. Very nice part of the world, actually.
