Career advice needed

Evening all,

I have desired a career in aviation for a long time and I am more determined than ever to make something happen. However, I was hoping you guys may be able to help me understand the options open to me. I have a good business and economics degree behind me and a few years work experience post-university (not aviation related). I worked at a flying school when I was younger (part time and voluntarily) as I couldn't afford to fly but wanted to learn.

On paper, I have good job but it doesn't seem like something I can do for another 12 months let alone til retirement! So, I would love to follow my heart into aviation

I hear about flight ops, flight scheduling and other roles but I don't truly understand what each role does, in detail.

Is anyone able to help me to understand what types of roles may be open to me and give me a steer as to what the roles genuinely entail.

Sorry I can't give more detail but I am open to career suggestions!

Thanks so much in advance
