Are the islands full of spotters or is there a more logical reason as to the opposition to replacing the Trislanders?
They've been a way of life, kind of like buses, for the island folk for the past few decades so I guess it's like saying goodbye to friends.

I have to say though that my one and only flight with Aurigny, in a Trislander between GCI and JER, was when I had a part time job stocktaking and some 30 or so of us contractors were stocktaking the B&Q stores on GCI and JER and our company had privately chartered a Trislander or few for transport between the islands.

As we were taxiing out the pilot, obviously enjoying that we were a private charter, turned around with a smile asking "how low would you lot like to go?" ... Well we told him "go for it" and we pretty much had to take avoiding action to avoid the car ferry that some of our colleagues were traveling on.

Thanks Aurigny and thanks Desmond Norman ... It was fun
