I have only just found your posting and I found it very interesting to see what your lifestyle in India is as a freight captain.

In my part of the world, freight pilots get paid pretty much the same as the other lot. The great difference is that our business is steadily expanding whilst the passenger airlines are in an extremely parlous state.

What fascinated me was your lifestyle. If I understand you correctly, at worst you can expect to be away for 18 days per month and be at home for 12 days. You also tell us that you have 36 hours off after a 4-sector/9 hr 25 min duty.

Why do you have 36 hours off?

I regularly fly 4/5 sector nights starting as early as 1830 and finishing at 0700. I then get approximately 11 - 13 hours off and do it all over again.

If you gave up your 36-hour layover, then you could have 4 more days at home per month and still fly the same number of hours. It would then be possible to have 16 days at home.

I am happy with my lifestyle and I have to tell you that there are a lot of pilots in Europe that would be thrilled to bits to have 12 days off per month.
