is there much inward tourism to that side of Scotland or does it tend to be Edinburgh & the lochs ?
The key point here is the West Coast already has an existing and commercially viable operation at Glasgow, Ayrshire has no pressing need for it's own airport per se, it's great to have, but it's easy enough to get from GLA to most points West.
