You can still apply, and why not? If you can get an interview in, you'll probably be put into the pool of possible qualified cadets, and you'll probably be put in priority as to when you'll get called again for more interviews. However, flight grading has been put on hold for now, so the furthest you'll get at this stage is probably the second interview.
If you get a package, do reply. There is nothing to lose in this matter.
But again, there is no course for this year, the next one most likely will begin in March 2004. There is already a backlog of DE and current cadets who will probably be in a waiting list when they get back to HK.
In fact, the last batch of DE's are in their conversion course now. The rest of the May crop will most likely be sent home for 3 to 6 months, at least until the airline recovers to sustainable capacity figures.
So don't get discouraged if CX does not call you back. It may be that things are not where they're supposed to be for more new hires at this moment.
