I understand after reading previous posts that it is really expensive to work for them. How much is the average cost for bureaucratic expenses that someone has to pay? ( work permit, license fees, medical ...). And when the company starts to pay the salary? (during ground school?) How much is the salary for a A320/A330 First Officer?
Work permit= $2000us
Bureaucratic expenses=$1000us (approx)

No salary during GS, sim training or IOE, only "training pay" (about $500/month)

Figure 4 to 6 months before you see a salary, and "productivity pay" (flight pay) only after you have been "released" (after about 100 hours of flying)

A320/A330 FO expect a pay of about $4000/month.

Also, you will not be told this, but there is no pay guarantee. You will get a small base salary (about $1000/month, after release) so if you have a trip cancelled, or you take a sick day or a vacation day you are only paid the base pay, no productivity pay. It's very expensive to call in sick or take vacation.

You will also be told you will be paid a "travel allowance" each month (about $150us) but that usually doesn't get paid for months at a time.

And oh, BTW, you will also be required to sign a "training bond" of about $30,000us and three years for the "opportunity" to work there.
