I flew 777's for SQ for a number of years. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I found the standards to be generally very high and the "nationalism", and national pride, where it occurred, was by and large justified.
Of European expat background, I encountered few difficulties. The same could not always be said of other expats. Maybe the militarily structured organisation did not appeal to all.
