Carlisle clubs

There's two fixed wing schools at Carlisle, one of which I go too. One of the benefits of learning to fly at Carlisle I've found is the amount of controlled airspace, meaning there isn't any. This is good as I've been able to get up into the air quickly and have a decent lesson rather having to comply with ATC and being held up by the heavies. But on the flip side I have noticed my radio work not being as sharp as what it should be as there's basically no one here to talk to apart from Carlisle Tower, London and Scottish info.

But I would have to agree with Golfdriver and try a few clubs/aircraft/instructors before you settle with a particular school. You'll enjoy it a lot more if you get on well with your instructor!
