Susi's Dreams
Dear Readers,
Susi recently rocks Pangandaran with risky low passes around the west beach hotels using PK-BVB (PK-BVJ comes once in a while so the pilots can lunch at Relax Cafe where they order their meals - without Bintangs - for that they go to Bamboo...) and the illegal airstrip she had built with funds from Bank Mandiri. The current unelected bupati, ENJANG NAFFANDY, is too corrupt and effete to even consider a confrontation with the Dragon Lady so the airstrip stays and even has been reinforced from the inevitable erosion by the sea.
So, about Susi's dream: she wants to serve every destination in Indonesia. Spoken like a nationalist? Nationalism serves her and her family as long as it gives them so much for free: seat subsidies, the peoples' money, their land even... Childish nationalism. But what a ridiculous statement to make to the press, a business publication to boot! What airline wants to serve every destination in a country? It would drain their resources not to focus. OK, this is only a stupid comment by a stupid person. The new management are clearly not so pie-in-the-sky.
And just to clarify what the press erroneously reports about competition with other airlines flying out of Bandung. Susi never had any competition Bandung-Nusawiru (Pangandaran). She just wants to be able to overturn the rule book at any small airport from which she operates. Her people tried this at Bandung Husein Sastranegara by dressing up ground crew as FO and they got caught 3 years ago! Flights have resumed only recently, March 2014 if we're not mistaken. Her son bragged on Facebook that he was "taking care of it, Bru" or something along those lines when asked about re-opening the route. Yeah, like he has any ability to negotiate such things other than by fllying about with suitcases filled with cash. So let's set the record straight about SA dropping the route.
IF
