No real need to align Ratings that are only four months apart.
(Can give some flexibility in that if you don't/can't fly for a while you don't lose all ability to act as a pilot all at once)

If wanting to then take an SEP Prof Check in April, or a TMG Prof Check in August (or whichever month you gained your SEP) - as a 'one off' just to align the Rating dates.

MJ's method also works if you don't want to (have to) fly with an Examiner.
