Obviously had your head buried in the sand. Ive seen plenty across both TV and print in the last few days.... And then that small Modern Family Australia special (ie advertisment) that just aired in the US

Some have definitely occurred. The 5000 number is also over a couple of years, albeit a good chunk this year.
AJ doesn't need to do any scaremongering, the reported financials and share price speak for themselves, let alone the airfare prices on offer in the marketplace
