I'm not sure what the current CAA turnaround time is. I waited about 8 weeks (outrageous!), but that was several years ago so hopefully things are better now!? I'm sure a fellow ppruner will provide a more recent estimate.
Don't forget you can still fly while you wait, under the supervision of an instructor. No passengers though!
