Popular flying areas
Hi all,
I would like to ask if there are any rules regarding ceaseless flying over particular areas.
I stay in a rural area 15 miles from the local airfield.
I seem to be under some sort of favourite route for light aircraft. I can hear them coming from the same direction all the time. They arrive above my house, then proceed to carry out aerobatics, practice landings and generally circle above the house. This usually continues for about 3/4 hour, then they disappear in the opposite direction. This can continue all day especially at weekends. I have observed multiple aircraft in close proximity, and, I believe, several near misses. We also have some very fast military aircraft going through the same area, also very low. Would this be a favourite area for flight instructors? It reminds me of our local supermarket car park, where you can't move for learner drivers. My wife and I are in constant fear of an accident, and the noise is driving us to distraction. Are there any rules about this?
