SID Trial at EGKK
Gatwick-based operators received an *urgent* notice dated Friday, 7th February 2014, advising that a GNSS/RNAV trial was due to start on Monday, 10th February with a new SID, ADNID 1X, replacing BOG1M for selected traffic.
With most of our admin staff away for the week-end it was almost impossible to communicate this to pilots in time and, consequently, we didn't feel anything like ready for the change. This is because, effectively, we were given zero day's notice.
Were we just unlucky?
