Helicopters dpn't need a 9,000ft tarmac runway, as the likes of North Denes, Penzance, Tresco, Cardiff (EGFC) demonstrate a short strip suffices, extend the strip to some 2,000ft and the flying clubs can utilise it also, that should put people off buying houses next door.
To use Plymouth as another example, the owners of that hoped to sell it PDQ for real estate but by all accounts it has become wrapped up in so much red tape it could take years of hearings and appeals etc.
Try wrapping Manston up in the same red tape they're using down in Devon, that should p1ss AG off
