Regarding the Caen service which you say would help DP World, Le Havre has its own airport with twice daily return serices to Lyon so I would have thought if they had been approched (doubtful) they would have preferred le Havre to Caen. Also they are not getting many shipping movements at the moment at London Gateway but early days. As someone who is interested also in shipping they will only take trade away from Felixstowe, Tilbury and Southampton but not Rotterdam.
