Irish air corps cadets qualify with a easa cpl Ir. It's not uncommon for guys to leave after 12 years service to Irish based airlines as well as private and commercial helicopter operators. The training you will receive will be 'free' and industry standard. You will get to do and experience things that you won't in an airline. You will also get valuable managerial experience that should you not be able to fly in the future for whatever reason you will have a backup career plan. Having been there and done it if my son wanted to become a pilot I would strongly recommend a careerin the Irish air corps first.
