Mixture of RNAV / radio NAV as well as plain old visual / landmarks etc. I think I prefer it when I can plan via VORs, and on forthcoming trip in an aircraft with a
KNS-80 am planning to use the RNAV syntheitc waypoints to the full (no GPS in this a/c).
