According to ABC news 24 the discovery was made from 'rubber ducky' (their words) with a hydrophone!
I don't think that's correct at all... I've been watching ABC News 24 since early this morning here in Sydney, and at no time have I heard the term "rubber ducky" used at all. In the below article on their website it clearly states;
